I’m Deb, the maker behind Deborah Jameson Creations, and I turn your most treasured clothing into beautifully handcrafted memory bears, made to be cherished for years to come. Every bear is individually made by me in my North East England studio, carefully preserving the fabrics, details and memories that make your clothing so special. From a much-loved shirt to a collection of precious baby clothes, I handle every piece with the care and respect it deserves.
Classic Memory Bears start from £50. If you're in the North East, you can arrange a local drop-off, or you can send your clothing to me from anywhere in the UK using tracked delivery.

On the 1st of each month at 10am a limited number of order slots go live. These slots are for keepsakes to be made the following month.

Once the slots are gone, they're gone — so be ready!

To make checkout as quick as possible and any add-ons — such as handwriting embroidery or mini clothes — to your basket before 10am so you don't miss out and can checkout at 10am.

I'm Deborah — a memory bear maker based in Washington, Tyne & Wear. I started sewing keepsakes after losing my own dog, Hamish, and then shortly after my father-in-law. Creating something you can hold onto during grief is powerful, and it's a privilege to make these pieces for others.
Every bear is handmade by me, start to finish, with the same care I'd want for my own family's memories.

What a very talented lady Deborah is and she handles your materials with such care and respect. She took the extra time to make sure she knew all of our needs. Deborah from the moment I met you I knew I had made the right decision! Your passion and love for your job is so evident to see and you just made me feel so welcome into your home and at ease. Handing over my baby’s things wasn’t going to be easy but I just knew it was going into the right hands straight away and I was excited to see the final product. I loved how you listened to what I had in mind, the Hugo bone being held by the bear and if his annoying pig could be stuffed inside so when we squeeze him we can be reminded of him. Which said pig now puts a huge smile on our face and gives us a giggle! You added your own idea and involved the heads of his favourite toys to his feet which the kids love and get to squeak now too. It’s made so well, like it’s actually unbelievable and the detail, I mean your attention to detail is just incredible! How long does it take to make my memory bear?
My turnaround time is usually around 4 weeks, depending on the time of year. I only accept a limited number of keepsake orders each month so every bear receives my full attention. I’ll always let you know the current timeframe when you order. You will receive confirmation when your order is started and again on completion and your order is on its way back to you.
Can you use clothing from a loved one who has passed away?
Yes. Many UK families choose memory bears as a gentle way to feel close to someone they miss. I treat every garment with the care, respect, and understanding I would treat my own families clothing.
How much does a memory bear cost?
Classic Memory Bears start from £50, Shirt Bears from £55, and Keepsake Dogs from £50. Embroidery can be added from £5, including handwriting recreation from £10. I'll always confirm your exact price before you order.
What clothing can I send for a memory bear?
Most soft clothing works beautifully — shirts, jumpers, trousers, pyjamas, baby grows, or blankets. If you’re unsure, you can always send me a photo and I’ll guide you.
How many items of clothing do I need?
Usually one or two items of adult clothing are enough for a standard bear. If you’d like a patchwork style or have something specific in mind, I can advise on the best amount to send.
Do you return any leftover clothing?
Yes — any unused clothing is returned to you with your finished keepsake unless you ask otherwise.
Is my memory bear suitable for children?
My memory bears are keepsakes, not toys, so they’re designed for display purposes only and comfort rather than play. They’re not suitable for children under 14.
How do I send my clothing to you?
Once you place your order, I’ll send simple posting instructions so your clothing reaches my North East studio safely. You can also drop off your clothing with me if your are local to the North East, you can book your drop off slot with me here.
Do you post memory bears across the UK?
Yes — I create memory bears UK‑wide and return each keepsake with tracked delivery. Collection of your memory bears or keepsakes are also possible if you are local to the North East, you can book in your Collection slot here.
